Investigational once-weekly triple receptor agonist combining incretin-receptor activation with glucagon-receptor agonism. Phase II obesity data reported mean weight reductions in excess of 20% at the highest dose tested over 48 weeks.

Based on research: an investigational triple agonist studied for the largest weight reductions yet reported for an incretin-based agent. The added glucagon-receptor arm is examined as a driver of increased energy expenditure and hepatic fat oxidation on top of GLP-1/GIP appetite effects.

Mechanism of action

Concurrent agonism of GLP-1R and GIPR amplifies satiety and insulinotropic signaling, while glucagon-receptor agonism increases energy expenditure and hepatic fatty-acid oxidation.
