Overview
A 28-amino-acid neuropeptide with vasodilatory, bronchodilatory, and broad anti-inflammatory activity. Its synthetic form, aviptadil, has been trialled in pulmonary conditions.

Based on research: studied in pulmonary hypertension, ARDS, sarcoidosis, and chronic inflammatory-response syndromes. Intranasal use appears widely in mould-illness protocols with limited controlled data.
Mechanism of action
VPAC1/VPAC2 agonism raises intracellular cAMP, relaxing vascular and bronchial smooth muscle, protecting alveolar type II cells, and shifting T-cell responses toward a regulatory phenotype.
