Overview
A protease-resistant designer peptide that selectively kills senescent cells by breaking the FOXO4-p53 interaction that keeps them alive, studied as a prototype senolytic.

Based on research: one landmark rodent paper reported restored fitness, fur density, and renal function in aged and progeroid mice. Human data do not exist, and off-target apoptosis is the central open question.
Mechanism of action
Competitively disrupts FOXO4 binding to p53, releasing p53 to the cytoplasm where it triggers apoptosis specifically in senescent cells that depend on that interaction for survival.
